Lounna is an alt-folk project by singer-songwriter Brenna Slate. She is based near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. A writer of poetically styled lyrics set to modern folk music, her songs are inspired by nature, mental health, life lessons, and relationships. You will find that Lounna's music is often gentle and soft with the lyrics touching upon deeper, introspective topics. Lounna's debut album "When I'm Home" is out now on all major streaming platforms and for physical purchase through lounnamusic.bandcamp.com
When she was twelve, Lounna bought her first guitar with her Christmas money. She spent her teen years teaching herself guitar and writing songs. After years of growth and discovering the folk genre, her songwriting began to grow like those wildflowers she is always singing about. She has also added the banjo, mandolin, ukulele, and harmonica to her instrument collection. In recent years, Lounna has found inspiration from modern indie-folk bands such as Bear's Den, First Aid Kit, and Gregory Alan Isakov.
