Our caring and compassionate instructors can't wait to have a lesson with you. You won't need to bring anything with you to the first lesson, except your instrument if you have one. You're instructor will guide you in a quick and easy tutorial lesson on your instrument, explaining and demonstrating some fun beginner techniques.
One of the most common things we hear from adults and parents of students is how much they regret not continuing with music or art when they were younger. Our favorite response is always "Well what's stopping you now?" Music does not have an age limit, we have students as young as 6 months old and as old as 90!! For our private lessons, we recommend that students start lessons once they can identify and name the entire alphabet. Our adult students seem to have the most fun and they also understand most of the harder concepts far easier than our younger students. We love all of our students, but we especially love our adult beginners. Our teachers are passionate and want you to succeed and work towards your goals. For children 4-8 who cannot identify their alphabet yet, there is a pre-requisite course called Mini Musicians that teaches beginner music concepts in a fun way and exposes them to real instruments that prepare younger students for individual private lessons.
Practice Makes Perfect hires highly qualified instructors that really care about their students. We want our students to not only excel at music bhut to also feel welcome and safe while doing so. All of our instructors are hired with Act 33 and Act 34 clearances and require all of our teachers to be mandated reporters so that you can be assured you are safe with us. Our talented teachers will guide you on your musical journey to be the best musician you can be, to whatever level you would like to get to. We know not everyone wants to be a classically trained pianist or jazz saxophonist so we cater our lesson plans to each individual student to target their strengths and guide them to be the best musician they can.
