The Frances and Marian Foundation was created by co-owners Aaron and Sam to raise money to provide free lessons, free instruments, and instrument repairs to students in need. Aaron’s grandmother, Frances, was his first piano teacher and later she paid for his piano lessons until Aaron was 18 years old when she passed away. Aaron went on to graduate college with a degree in piano performance and later founded Practice Makes Perfect music studio. Without his grandmother's financial help with piano lessons, he wouldn’t have had this opportunity and his life would be very different from what it is today. Sam’s grandmother, Marian, paid for her violin lessons growing up. Sam then went on to graduate college with a degree in music education. Without her financial help she wouldn’t have had the opportunity to take violin lessons. Music is something that changes lives and is a skill that you have with you forever. We believe that music should be accessible to everyone and our mission of the Frances and Marian foundation is to be that opportunity for kids who want to play an instrument or sing, and need help financially.
