A Pennsylvania native, Ashley Matse is a graduate of Bishop McCort High School where she served as the marching band drum major. She then went on to study music education at Edinboro University where she played piccolo, flute, piano, and marimba in multiple campus and community ensembles. Last spring, she graduated Summa Cum Laude and Outstanding Departmental Graduate.
Ashley has taught flute and piano lessons and assisted with marching bands for over three years as well as volunteered with hospice care to make music with the residents. She is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota, a national music fraternity serving to support female leadership in music, where she has served on Executive Boards and won national awards.
Ashley now teaches Band, Choir, Theater, and General Music courses at Greensburg Central Catholic High School and is pursuing a masters degree in Instrumental Conducting at IUP. Ashley is so excited to join Practice Makes Perfect Studio to continue encouraging musical diversity, love, and excellence in Greensburg!
